Custom Filament Settings in the AMS

I agree with both of the comments here. What I’ve found works best is when you load the filament in the AMS just set the color. Then manage all filament settings on the slicer and make sure to NEVER sync with the AMS. I’ve found that if the colors are similar between the AMS and the slicer then it will pick the correct AMS location automatically. If it doesn’t then you can manually pick the correct AMS slot location at print time.

I agree that it’s dumb to do it this way. I’m guessing they are trying to pull an Apple and get you to buy filament from them vs a third party. At least they sell reasonably priced filament vs the overpriced ■■■■ from Apple.
