Custom GCode disabled for by Object print

Hello guys. Anyone can tell me why add custom gcode is disabled when i choose by object print?
I have to set different temperature for different object. But i cant becouse it’s disabled when i choose print by object.
Moreover, if i edit the gcode it’s impossibile to send the file to the printer. I have to load it on the sdcard!

Help!

Thanks

Which custom gcode are you referring to?
There are at least 7 different places to add custom gcode.

This is kind of a hack and I haven’t tested it to see if it actually works, but it looks like it just might?
Take your base filament profile and save a copy of it with the new temperature you want to use. In object mode change the filament type of your part to the new filament. This will cause the part to print at whatever temp is specified in the alternate filament profile. This looks like it should work according to the Orca Slicer preview… but like I said, I haven’t actually tried it out. If you do end up testing this, please follow up with your results!

Edit:
After you change the filament type you’ll need to go back to Process → Global mode to change the Print sequence type to “by object”, otherwise you’ll end up with a very lengthy print.

Hello. Thanks for your reply. I think that this will not work because it will load fament nr 2 …

Thanks

This method here

I just tried it, worked fine. I used the AMS and selected the same slot for both filaments.

And this enables to use different temperatures?
How?

You just make a copy of your filament profile and change the temp. I made two profiles Generic PETG HT and LT, high temp and low temp.

Thanks! Couldn’t figure out how to change the temps since the GCode at a given layer was greyed out. This worked out great.
