Customer Engagement & Updates

@BambuLab Can we please have a section or thread dedicated to the firmware and software updates you are working on, so at the very least we can have our expectations managed.

Your printers are amazing but quite simply, the software and firmware supporting them leaves a lot to be desired. In the wee small hours this morning I had 6 P1P printers that just wouldn’t download print files sent to them through the cloud, this has raised it’s head multiple times and required re binding to fix. I’ve used LAN only but then I’ve got to play detective and have a note on the white board to tell me which is which. Let’s not go in to the disaster of firmware updates that have reduced the useability of many peoples devices.

I, and many in the community understand that your are more focused on hardware than software, but one cannot work without the other. More importantly, poor implementation makes a superb machine at best a problem child and at worst, worthless.

All this I could live with if there was any customer engagement whatsoever. We’re looking at our remaining bank of 20 Prusa printers and trying to decide if we go all in with you, wait for other companies to catch up on the hardware side with better software implementation or stick with the old stable because it just works.

If there was a very public (on this forum) update as to what you’re working on and a current server status when you’re having issues, I feel there would be a lot less in the way of anger about issues we’re all currently living with.

Hi there,

We are sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues with the printers.
One of the things you mentioned is already available here: https://status.bambulab.com/
You can check the status of the cloud services on this link if there are any issues with sending files to the printer. If the issue still occurs, please contact our support team and we will help you solve the issue.

Please also note that the entire team is working hard on constantly improving the firmware of the printers, the Bambu Studio, and Bambu Handy apps. But as always, patches and new features require development time, testing, refining, and so on.

We are closely listening to community feedback, and we are improving as quickly as possible. But until we manage to deliver all the expected results, please bear with us and allow a bit of time to do it right.

We appreciate your understanding.

These network problems are making the Prusa MK4 look better and better.

Then vote with your wallet.

I suggest to Bambu Lab that they create GitHub repos for firmware and hardware to track issues and make the information visible to us.

They already have repos for Bambu Studio and Handy.
