The bend radius was never the problem, it getting pinched was.
To be honest the problem isnt really prevented by this part, the way to prevent the problem is to not pinch the cable against something in the first place.

The format and syntax of that email match the support responses that are also circulating so I believe it to be authentic. One thing that needs to be considered is that this guy likely contacted Bambu Lab to get information. Someone with his “limited” base (fair by your definition), probably did so via a support ticket rather than some official contact. The structure of the reply makes that plausible. If that is true, the response from support is basically: if you are worried (and the assumption is you are based on the fact that you submitted a ticket) then stop using your A1 immediately. If anyone asks you (unqualified YouTube person) what they should do, tell them to also stop using their A1. That all seems totally reasonable and in line with what has been communicated by Bambu Lab and ensures that they have protected themselves from additional liability. I think the “everyone stop using all A1s now” narrative is based off of a CYA email to one guy from support. Social media has swarmed and generated fear and disinformation off of that.
