Customization of designs using multiple printing plates

The problem is that when I create a customizable design by uploading an .f3d file with “favorite” parameters" and then create a build plate layout using a .3mf file generating a customization results in a single build plate with just one object, or at most several objects that aren’t separated.

I can’t get the print plate resulting from the customization to generate the same way as the plate with separate objects configured from the start.

I’ve tried exporting the file as STEP and then generating the 3MF project, but it’s impossible. Also, the objects are separated into components. I’m using the custom file upload wizard; I don’t want to make things overly complicated.

First off: Your text contains huge black blocks with no text, so in case any information was lost…

Second: In a case like this, screenshots are really important for understanding your workflow.

To start with: Bambu Studio doesn’t support f3d. However, if I understand correctly, you’ve already noticed that and wanted to convert it to a 3mf? What program are you actually using to export? This all seems like a typical export error.

I’ve never heard of that program before. The Upload Wizard is associated with Wikipedia, but I’ve never heard of it in the context of 3D printing. Are you perhaps referring to a tool from MakerLab? Could that be it? If so, please post the link, too.

Please submit screenshots as soon as possible and let us know which tools you’re using.

Maybe you should edit your post in case any information is missing: As I said, many parts of it are black blocks.

Sorry, the blank spaces were a copy-and-paste error; no information has been lost.

On MakerWorld, I can upload an F3D file to create a customizable model.
Then, I upload the edited print profile, featuring the modified objects and their settings across three different build plates.

The problem is that when I generate a custom model using MakerWorld, the downloaded 3MF file contains only a single build plate and does not recognize the layout from the 3MF file I originally uploaded.

I’m not sure if I explained myself clearly.

If I’m understanding you correctly… I don’t think there’s any association between what’s generated with the customizer, and whatever print profiles you provide.

I’ve used the customization stuff with Fusion a couple of times, and I’ve always built the model to be laid out the way I want on the build plate. As far as I can tell, there’s nothing magical on the Makerworld side that’ll sort things out and add extra plates if needed.

Been thinking about this with a model I’m working on now that is a little more complex in nature. Not something I can easily pre layout. Been thinking about how I’ll have to make a guide for perspective printers, to help guide on how to set the model up beyond the customizer.
