🚀 CyberBrick™ is coming to Kickstarter March 15th!

yes thats exactly what has happened. The lack of replies where I can send my proof of pledge too is the most frstrating.

Our school is looking to revamp our intro to robotics class. I was thinking this would be a great replacement for what we do. Incorporating 3d printing would add a lot. We have 3 X1 Carbons. I was wondering if there was a way to get a bulk order of things for a classroom? I think we would need enough for about 8 - 10 sets.

They’ll be in the store, you can just order them directly. 10 sets is not a large quantity.

Something smells very fishy if a company like Bambu has to abuse Kickstarter to promote this.
And if they won’t even honour kickstarter rules it just pulls red flags up for me…

What rules haven’t they honored?

Big companies use kickstarter all the time, it’s kinda what kickstarter is these days, the name is just less fitting than it used to be

Well, you are right by modern definition…
And since Kickstarter isn’t about helping start ups any more I guess we should all be happy…
For me it is a bit of a coward’s move though…
Create a new subsidiary to stay out of possible legal troubles and to have better tax benefits.
Then use a platform meant (originally) to give creative minds a good chance as a promotion platform you also include in the websites of your other business ventures.
All while the little guys drown in those advertisement campaigns and won’t be noticed any more.

In reality Bambu could have just done it all through Makerworld promotions only as they do so often.
It leaves a bitter taste for an old fart like me who has seen it all and been through it many times - if you know what I mean
It’s not the end though, it is the start and corporate control our future LOL

Sure they could have, but that would really only reach Bambu customers.

By using Kickstarter they reach a much wider audience which in turn pushes backers towards Bambu products and Makerworld.

I’ve backed 250+ Kickstarter projects some of which have drastically failed. Very little about this one raises any red flags.

I have just received this.
How is it possible to do this?

Hi Andy,

Thanks for writing in. On Kickstarter, backers can only pledge to a project once. This makes backing a project a bit different than ordering something from an online store. Our information indicates that rather than selecting and including an add-on reward after confirming your primary backer reward tier selection, you selected a new primary backer reward tier, which replaced your original primary backer reward tier selection.

Once a project’s funding period has ended, it’s no longer possible to edit your pledge, either to change your reward selection or pledge amount.

If you’d like to make an adjustment to your pledge, I recommend reaching out to the creator to see if they would be able to help accommodate this.

To message a creator, visit the project page and click on the creator’s profile name. This will open up their bio page where you can then click the blue “Contact me” button to send them a message via Kickstarter.

This is how Kickstarter works. You’re not ‘ordering’ stuff. You’re backing a project.

@CyberBrick the surveys for Kickstarter are out, there is an issue though.

For those that qualify for the T-shirt, you ask for the requested size, with a generic size guide.

Yet, no idea of what those mean have been provided.

Sizes in the US do not correspond to those in the U.K. and I imagine this is true all over the world.

What chest or other normal measurements match each of the sizes?

That explains

You substituted the cyberbrick you were backing with the timelapse kit instead of adding it on.

They’ll be available for sale in the online store also but at this point I suspect your kickstarter order is locked in.
