I am interested in the electric pushrod PG003 but may require aftermarket pushrods with a longer stroke length. The PG003 unit has a heat shrink interface between the two wires from the pushrod to three wires that connect to servo control. Can anyone identify what this circled device is, or if it can be replicated with basic soldering? What is the wiring schematic?
Repalcing the pushrod and keeping the mystery box ought to “just work”.
There are only 2 wires from the push rod, and these need to carry DC power, so realistically it has no way to tell its position except by monitoring the load on the motor, which rises when it meets resistance at the end, so just try a longer rod.
edit You should make sure the new motor has similar current usage.
