Cyberbrick motors continuously spinning. Have tried everything, no change

I have been trying to build a cyberbrick model. Upon assembling motor gearboxes and powering on the device, the motors continuously spin. Now, I do combat robotics, so I know that this is a trim problem. However, in the CyberBrick app, I have performed auto-trim and set the trim values myself from information found on official websites. Can anyone provide guidance on what I could do to fix this issue? Thank you in advance.

Have you flashed the profile over and made sure you’ve connected everything to the correct ports?

I had a similar issue that the motors were just stuck in forward when it turns out i had connected the sticks in the controller to the wrong ports, so double check everything is mapped exactly as it appears

I have flashed the profile multiple times. I did check the ports, but I will check them again. Thank you for responding

Maybe there is a bug in the app. I had that problem a few days ago. Maybe not the same, but when the joystick was centered the motors would still run, albeit slowly. I couldn’t figure it out, so I scaped the whole thing and started anew. On the second try everything worked fine. On the first try I began with a template and on the second I started from scratch. I highly suspect that there was some code inserted into the template that I was unaware of that was causing the problem.

Check the motor power assignment in the remote control; I had a similar problem when I used an existing file instead of an empty one, and the motors were incorrectly assigned.

I understand it, i fixed the spinning problem, but now they wont spin at all.

How did you assign the motors to the controller? Did you also upload the new configuration to the controller?

i assigned the motors to the controller via the joystick in the cyberbrick desktop app. i definitely updated the controller with the new configuration.

And what about the settings for the forklift under “Motor”? Did you set both motors from 0-100%? And finally, did you also perform the pairing?

Thank you for sticking with me here. I changed the percentages around like you just mentioned, but nothing really changed. I did perform the pairing, as far as I know, because both motors move when i press the joystick

I more mean that both motors respond. they do not actually move, i can just here them trying to move

Then it’s a mechanical problem! Remove the track; the rear wheels should then rotate individually, both forwards and backwards, as well as left and right, since they will simply turn in opposite directions.

I did take the track off of the piece; the wheels do rotate. When I remove the track, the wheels rotate perfectly when I apply power to them. they work just fine with no track.

Do you have the original LA016 Gear? Speed-optimized transmissions don’t have enough torque for the track.So the problem is now solved on the CyberBrick side, now it’s just the mechanics that are missing… The resistance must be too high somewhere; loosen the wheel screws a little, it should work. Mine run perfectly.
