Delay that creates a blob of filament at end of each print

P1P, latest firmware (01.02.03.00), latest BambuStudio slicer (1.5.0.61, macOS).

After every successful printing job, the nozzle stays still for a couple of seconds, touching the last layer of the printed item, and that excretes a little bit of filament “blob” that I have to later remove manually, with a file or wire cutters.

This is either a firmware or BambuStudio issue. Needs to be fixed ASAP.

The nozzle needs to move away super fast from the finished print using both X, Y, and Z axis, and not stay and smear melting filament on top of the printed part.

Would you please add your firmware version?

When you say “latest” that means that whoever read this has to look at the post date and then look up the firmware version on that date.

Updated in the original message, thank you for the suggestion.

i know the print finishes and the nozzle just sits there cooking your new print for 2 secs to much

wish there was a way to change this. it also does it when it does the test line before the print lays the first layer, just asking for a blob to get on the nozzle and ruin the print somewhere

Happening to me on 1.6.2.4 anyone have the fix?

You can change this in your firmware. If you look at the end of the gcode file you will see that it finished the print, then runs end of filament code and then runs machine end code. During that time while sitting there it does multiple filament retractions that should prevent any oozing. I have often wonder about the pause, but I have never had any oozing (using PLA).
