Deleted my post because I'm a moron - extruder failure issue

I’m sure this is related to my previous why the heck does the extruder click during the first few layers, but not the entire print, but a new issue has developed, failure to extrude errors.

Again, doesn’t matter if it’s pla or PETG and doesn’t matter color, or type it does this with any filament, but my printer seems very unhappy. Between random no plate errors when the plate is most definitely in place, and now failure to extrude errors I’m getting quite unhappy with my A1.

There is no clog, I’ve both cleared out the filament from the nozzle, and used a brand new nozzle, still does it. Changed the extruder gear, same issue. Removed the cutter head, just to see if it was somehow causing an issue, still does it. Filament looks normal and undamaged. Filament lives in a dry box at 10-15% humidity when not being printed, and gets printed from a Sunlu s4 that is run before printing just to make sure it’s dry. (The filament is not brittle or breaking)

Doesn’t matter what file I print, doesn’t matter if it’s a random model from maker world, a file that I’ve printed many times before, or one of the two things I created myself, that have successfully printed in the past.

Anyone have any ideas what could be the issue? Besides ID10T/General user error?

Before you start try taking off nozzle and just extrude it out manually, keep going for a min to see it it’ll pop up.

or factory reset it to clear some errors.

Its strange.

It’s extrudes normally without the nozzle, or with the nozzle if done manually.

But if I start a print it either gives a failure to extrude fault, or the extruder gear clicks/skips for the first few layers then prints normally.

Well…was printing normally, the last “successful” print had a massive layer shift like 70% through the print.

I do not have an A1 but remember reports of insufficiently tightened screws in the tool head causing this kind of issue.
Hope this helps and
