It boils down to this I think for me:
Why should anyone else print your whatever if you couldn’t even be bothered to print one yourself?

Complaining here about models being taken down because no actual photo may make folks feel better but it probably won’t get them restored.
Everyone wants Bambu to warn them before taking down their models - they have. It’s in the checkbox where you agree to post actual photos and they even say models can be removed for noncompliance.
Our sympathies if some real photos are called out as AI but unfortunately people use AI to get around the photo requirement. They even render in layer lines to try to deceive. This is all forced on us by the people who break the rules to commit fraud and scam the system for free things. Those people hurt all of us.
Post real photos as required and make sure the photos actually look real and not so perfect people think they are renders.
It’s not that difficult to avoid the takedown issues.

Bambu is not a tiny startup, I dont see the point of defending a wrong move.
The case: warn in the same way as the “print profile was removed” warning saying “oh BTW you’re affected by a switch on the rules to prevent blabla…”. Simple, prevents garbage models, warns users with valid models to prepare.
You can’t say it should be normal for users to review the guidelines every couple of months of all the services we are using, this just gets you into a horrible future. This website has many examples of this.

Well, it happened to me. All print profiles for my latest model were deleted, despite the fact that I did have a real picture. This was the hardest I worked on a set of free files just to be delisted as it was climbing up the trending feed. I reuploaded the print profiles with additional pictures, but I’ve lost quite a bit of traction and potential print profile points. Very frustrating…
I still don’t understand why they just don’t flag them first
The notification about the removal of the profile includes a reason. What did it say.

The only images I have used for that model are pictures of the real print.
