Good morning all. I’ve searched and can’t find an answer that actually tells me “how” to delete a filament that I no longer use from my filament list in Studio or Orca. A year ago when I bought this X1 I tried many different brands and I’d now like to cull that list. Thanks in advance
My bad. I meant from the AMS touchscreen. What’s in it’s memory is not on my pc.
What’s wrong with you? That little minus sign in the filament settings wasn’t obvious to you? It wasn’t to the vast majority of the rest of us either. It is one of the most commonly asked question. I guess they don’t have a sign for a trash can icon
You can only delete filaments you created, i.e. user presets.
To do this, open the filament settings (1), open the filament lists (2), select the filament from the user presets (3), press the cross in the right side top menu(/4) and confirm (5).
Sorry, it actually did go over my head, my apologies, now I got it…lol
It’s a X button now:
Anyhow, this only deletes the preset in slicer, not in printer.
BS has ability create custom filaments:
These also being sent to the printer, however when you delete custom filament in slicer, it doesn’t delete it from the printer.
So, I’ve created a filament1 with wrong parameters, then filemanet2 using filament1 as the base and corrected the parameters. Then I deleted filament1, however printer still has both filaments, and when I select filament2, it “accepts” it, but 1 second later it shows AMS slot with a question mark (unknown filament). This behavior is the same if I select filament2 on printer itself, or via devices tab in BS.
