Oh yes. One of the first things I learned from my X1 is that the days when printers printed mods to make them print as intended are over. Mods nowadays require much more insight than in pre-Bambu times. And even then have a big chance of causing problems themselves.
The AMS (1st gen) is a slight exception in my experience though.
More dessiccant just means an extension of the time until I need to dry it again, the spool centre holders doubling as spool weights to reduce filament entanglement during pull back. Another AMS1 “must have” mod for me are the long PTFE AMS savers. But then, I do quite a bit of filament change stuff (I think I still need to add my Easter print to your “long prints” thread ) and Bambu refills.
