I’m using Voisen orange silica beads. I’ve gone through several iterations of putting them in the microwave to recharge them. All of the posts and videos I’ve seen imply that they should all regain their original bright orange. The majority of the ones I recharged are back to orange, but, some are darker. Are these still usable? I don’t quite understand why they all didn’t revert back to bright orange.
Microwave makes them too hot, degrade them (mainly for the color but some may be toast). They are dry, can be used but you loose the color indication. It happened to me and only use the oven now, it’s slower but at least they heat up slowly and color change is consistent
