Desiccant holder

Currently, I have a packet of desiccant in the rear slot of the HT. I was curious if anyone seen a desiccant holder for the rear of the HT?

i’ve seen holders that go into the spool’s round center only

Me too. All of my spools have them. I was hoping one of the inventors had come up with a design for the back of the HT.

The spool one works the best with the HT.

Thanks… All of my spools have a desiccant holder in them. Was hoping to add more to the HT via the rear space.

Not much space there. The most useful volume is mid spool in this AMS I figure, from first impressions.

You really don’t need a lot of desiccant in the AMS - if your filament is dry.

Silica gel beads can give up water as easily as they grab it. Museums and archivists use silica gel to humidify environments and you can buy silica gel preconditioned to a whole range of relative humidities.

Put/keep wet silica gel in your AMS and you can actually add water to your filament.

Keep an eye on AMS humidity. If it goes down when you put in a fresh spool, your filament is more dry than the silica gel. If it goes up (besides the small spike from opening it), your filament isn’t all that dry.
