Design does not load/print?

Hey everyone,

I recently got a 1-Star rating on Makerworld because apparently my design does not print on A1 using Bambu Studio…

I got in quite an argument as I tried to help and that individual did not give a … about the rating, nor further testing.

He says the second plate does not want to print:

I have no problems printing the model on my P1S… The A1 has the same sized plate… so my questions is, would anyone with an A1 be so kind and try to load the second plate of the model (no need to print it) and see if you get a similar problem?

Here’s the design: Rotating Driver Stand by DISLEIK.design - MakerWorld

If the fault is on my side I’d apologise and try to fix it, but I’m having no issues and that rating is a bummer…

Thank you all :pray:t3:

Ok, loaded the model on my A1 and the second plate is set to Per Object and the BS reported that the parts were too close together. I just readjusted the parts and it sliced with no issues.

Alright, so its exactly what I thought and had explained to that guy.
Now I’ll have to see how to relocate them, so when selecting an A1, it works. I’d say BS is at fault here, as selecting my P1S works without any issues.

Thank you so much for testing and reporting!! :pray:t3:

There are two important things you need to understand that are not publicised related to print-by-object:

  • The A series cannot print items as tall as the P, X & I assume the H2D, due to the core-xy vs bed-slinger.

  • When you publish a print profile using the print-by-object option, the automatic slicing to other compatible printers will not occur. You must provide multiple versions.

You’re totally right.

I just added an A1 to BS although I don’t have one to slice and test.
I could readjust the objects so they would not interfere and re-uploaded them.

Could someone check again - to see if this did the trick?
It should work… should… theoretically :stuck_out_tongue:

Which profile are you referencing and have you uploaded a new one since you asked the first question?

If you are talking about the profile “Thread Rod Verison” and specifically plate 2, it will never work on the A1 mini.

The clearance areas around even two objects are too large.

It will work on the A1 if you use the Shift + A option to auto-arrange the items on the plate. It will move the tall object to the back so it will not get hit by the arm when printing the other two items.

You will have to create an A1 mini-series profile specifically that has those items on different plates and NOT using print-by-object.

The first plate will also need to be separated.

Its the “Threaded Rod Version”

I have to check the other one tomorrow. For now its time to go to bed… its 3am🥱

PD: Never wanted it to work for the A1 Mini. I thought that guy was using an A1 Mini - but it turns out he uses an A1. I didn’t understand why it didn’t work for him, as with my P1S (having the same sized plate) I could slice it without any problem. After your post I understood.

I just updated my original. Read that.

I am lucky if my broken body lets me sleep before 6 am.
