Design question - how to make a pattern with floating parts a block?

Is there an easy way in Bambu Studio to make this pattern a solid piece, resulting in a rectanguar block that can be printed as such, with regular smooth sides and bottom and this pattern as the top of the block? I tried several things, but when I slice it, I always get the error message 'there are floating parts … '.

You might be able to use a block the same footprint and subtract via boolean mesh your pattern thus cutting the block into two piece. Finally delete the top section.

Not sure how in studio but I’d import into tinkercad, put it on top of a rectangular block and merge the pieces together.

In studio try this. Others tab, Special mode, slicing mode, then select close holes. Don’t know if it will do what you are asking but it’s worth a shot.

Hm, tried it, doesn’t work unfortuately. Thank you though.

Doesn’t work, unfortunately.

Can you provide a link to your surface file?

I was able to perform a split like this with a test part and it gave the surface the texture of the surface file.
