Diagonal artifacts on outer wall

Hi,

After a year of flawless performance from this printer, I’ve suddenly started noticing strange diagonal artifacts on the outer walls of my prints. These artifacts are highly visible and can also be felt to the touch. I tried many of the suggested “ringing” solution as it seams to me like a mechanical problem. However, nothing so far has worked. What i’ve tried:

  • Retensioning the belts.
  • Different (size) nozzle.
  • Changing speed.
  • Cleaning carbon rods.
  • Changed printer location

Has anyone ever encountered this problem before, and if so, how can It be solved?

It looks like not well calibrated filament. Maybe also moist. It can show as such diagonal lines on straight walls.

Another root cause may be z-axis displacement (although I’d expect more dramatic failures). Check the tops of the lead screws and their bearings for correct seating as well as the level of the bed.
