Is there a diamond nozzle that is compatible with the X1C?
I want to print Glow stuff, but… that was mucho bad on my brass nozzled printer…
The hardened steel nozzle that ships with the X1C should be able to handle glow filament.
Bambu actually sells Glow PLA and recommends using the hardened Steel nozzle.

The stock nozzle the printer is shipped with is hardened steel. That isn’t diamond but should be far far better than brass. So I wouldn’t worry too much.
Anyway I haven’t heard of diamond nozzles yet, only ruby. Are you sure such a thing exists?
They sure exist. They are called “diamondback nozzles”, I even found one for Bambulab Printers:

DiamondBack is brand name. I don’t believe they are actual diamond nozzles.
I stand corrected! They are stacked carbon and technically diamond.
Indeed, never heard of those before. Do I understand correctly, that those are just covered with micro diamonds, similar to a diamond sharpening stone?
I wouldn’t want to pay the price as every nozzle is a consumable that might clog at some time, especially with those reinforced filaments. But if they work as advertised, that might be worth it for some.
They also make a revo hotend for bambu and theres a diamondback revo nozzle. All for only $350 lol. Dont bend it
The x-obsidian high flow should handle that if you want a nozzle upgrade. I’ve been using one for a couple of months withe only 1 clog (yesterday) with plain old PETG of all things.
Just get a hardened.
Print glow every now and again, it works fine.
(do wish I could justify a diamondback though)
Yeah, If you change from stock hotend to a different brand. Like the Microswiss Flowtech Hotend you just have to change the nozzle, same with Slice Engineering Mako Hotend. Yes, there are other 3rd party hotend available, but some brands work closely with Bambu to make sure they will work flawlessly.
I currently have the Microswiss Flowtech hotend and just bought a diamond tipped nozzle. It’s already an excellent hotend with the hardened CHT nozzle. I also heard from Microswiss a CHT diamond tipped nozzle is in development.
I ended up purchasing the Diamondback BBL nozzle, haven’t looked back.
I had a revo diamond, it was great, just don’t like the Revo set up. when the heater went out it was $60 to replace it. A heater that is $60 is a bit much. I have a few backup BBL ones so I purchased it. To be clear it’s almost overkill. They don’t wear so it’s a one time purchase unless you happen to do something dumb “just right” to break it.
The OBX is a nice tradeoff. It’s just as tough and works great. Doesn’t cost a mint either.

I had the fan go out on my Diamondback BBL nozzle, I was so annoyed! But, it was really easy to swap the fan off one of my old BBL nozzles and I was back up and running in minutes.

Hello, just installed my Diamondback nozzle, but I was wondering what you set the nozzle type to in the printer, hardened or stainless steel?

I set mine to harden. Also make sure you redo all you calibrations. The tip heats up driffrent but so far I love it.

Set as hardened, there are profiles on MW you can use as starting points. They are for the Obxidion and Obxidion 500.
Really not much you need to do other than check the flow rates on your filaments. You won’t see dramatic speed increases but you will see cleaner prints and never have to worry about it wearing out.
