Did I break my Mini?

Help!

I was printing and came upstairs to find the project had broke loose and caused filament to make a big ball around the hotend and up and around everything else. I started plucking the plastic off attempting to clean it and realized I pulled these two black wire out. How do I fix this? Thanks!!!

You have some work to do, with any luck, it is recoverable.

Firstly, be very careful, do not guess. Use the link below to learn about the clean-up process. Read it a couple of times before proceeding.

The biggest issue you have is the white area covering the cables which you highlighted. You will need to tread very carefully there.

This is likely where you will need to start, as the printer will not function well/if at all, if you can’t attend to that.

You will need to carefully peel that material off. If you use anything sharp, aim to cut away where the cables are not.

Not totally sure (I have an X1C) but you’ve possibly broken off the thermistor wire from the “hot end heater assembly”, see this page https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/a1-mini/maintenance/hotend-heating-assembly-replacement. The good news is that whole assembly cost $20 on their store so chalk it up to an annoying learning experience.
