I’m new to the BBL Universe. I’ve had a Prusa MK3s+ for 2 years and have done a lot of printing with mostly PLA.
I have had my A1 mini printer for 4 weeks and have printed probably 30-40 prints since then, all with perfect bed adhesion (PLA). Then I upgraded my Bambu Studio as suggested. Since that time, bed adhesion has been bad (all with PLA). I’ve cleaned my plate, dried my filament in a filament drier, played with bed and hotend temperatures. I’ve changed to different filaments and got better, not perfect bed adhesion.
I am wary that the Bambu Studio upgrade (to version 1.8.2.56) has played a role. All the settings look good. I am using the presets for 0.2mm Layer Height, smooth PEI sheet. I can visibly see the hot filament come out of the nozzle on the first layer and not stick to the build plate, just smearing it around.
I can’t prove it’s the software, but I have read about other proficient users with recent problems like mine. I just wanted to know if anyone else has had similar problems after the Bambu Studio update.
Do the preloaded prints or reprinting prints from before the software upgrade have the same adhesion problem? If so that doesn’t point to the software update as they were sliced before it.
How are you cleaning your build plate? It’s really important to out touch the printable part of the plate after you clean it.
it could also be a sudden change in the weather. when i lived in the UK we needed +5 degrees on heated beds in winter as the printing room had the c window open for ventilation.
