Did you know? Print your supports in a second filament

Great explanation on using different support materials.

Wen the H2D was new I saw so many “reviews” where the creator did not know this and printed the whole support in a different material, and found it did not stick to the build plate.

If there is a lesson from this bambu marketing should work more closely with engineering to provide technical education to influencers.

Bambu no longer has Support Material for PA/PET since it’s been discontinued.

As noted in your message, ABS/ASA works quite well as a support interface.

And it would have been nice to include that it helps to set the flush volumes higher when switching between PLA and PETG, to avoid layer separation.

I found out after a print where the support material fused completely with the model that PETG-CF cannot be properly supported by Support for PLA/PETG. Both Bambulab. All filament was quite dry.

It fused so hard that the bond between the bottom of the model and the support held on to one another better than model layers held on to one another: I pealed the bottom of the model straight off of the 15% gyroid internal support inside the model.

It worked perfectly fine when printing it again using regular PLA basic as support interface material though.
