Didn't Know it did That!

So I was playing fast and loose with the end of a spool, see the tail end come off the roll, head into the tube, think - I’m not going to have enough to finish. But it did! Printed for 10 minutes with the filament from the AMS to somewhere before the extruder. Then I’m thinking - ■■■■. How am I going to get that filament out of there now? But it knew the tail end was lost in the middle somewhere, so it automatically just kept purging until it was all gone! Thank you, Code-Writing-People!

I only experienced this for the first time the other day as well, i was also impressed that it stops to open the poop shoot hatch mid process to ensure it doesnt all get stuck inside the machine.

Yes, they did a good job with it. The only issues I have is the Filament tail end occasionally gets hung in the AMS inlet (hard bend in the tail), then jams. Won’t keep printing, won’t retract. Frustrating, and lost one 6 hour print before I figured out how to unf***k the situation. Same brand keeps doing it.

All the other times it just switches to the next filament in line per settings and keeps going.
