What is the difference between the black and gold textured PEI plate?

I think we may have already worked this out.
The gold plate is an improved version of the black plate

Black plates are cooler, though.
sell me an improved version that stays black.

I’m not sure what all the differences are between the two but my experience has been the Gold plates appear to be coated (not sure I’d say powdered coated but perhaps it is) and the black plates are stickers.

I have two gold plates and other than cleaning them when adhesion drops I’ve had zero issues. I thought I’d try a black one and on the second print and it started blistering and bubbling. May have been trying to remove the print too soon but I didn’t do anything different than what I do with my gold plates. Anyway, for me, the black ones don’t appear to offer any advantage and considering the stickers can lift or bubble I’m not going to buy the black ones.
