What is the difference between the two different models of Bambu 4-in-1 PTFE Adapters available in the shop (the white and the black one), I know that the Black is for All Series, while the White is for X1 Series/P1 Series/H2D/H2S/P2D?
Is any of these two better than the other?
Frankly, I can’t see much difference. I own a H2C and the black one include a small rubber insert to clean the filament as it passes through the adapter, I suppose it was designed for the induction nozzle of the H2C which may be less compliant to clogging. This insert creates some friction so I removed it (it is made removable to replace it). With the insert removed, the black one should have less restriction that the white one but I really don’t feel it’s better using one or the other
I used the white one on an H2D. It was a nightmare to deal with. The tubes were extremely picky for length (mm by mm) and even then, they didn’t seat well enough to quiet the feed issues.
I posted on here and a member lit me up to the issues. I printed a nice one off of MW and have since solved ALL issues. Fantastic workaround.
BL sent me a black one with my H2C. I might use it with the much discussed filament feed unit. Haven’t decided. It does look smoother than the white one. Might work.
The main difference might simply be the bigger connectors allowing the tubes to stay straight to the adapter better. If you have tubes going straight to the adapter, it might not make a difference but if you have curves going to the adapter, the black one may be best.
What I like with the black one is the fact that removing the 4 screws you can dismantle it easily to clean it of any residues inside.
