I am having an issue with text in Bambu Studio (BS).
When i select text, that is on the surface of an object, and ‘paint’ it a different color than the body, the ‘text’ extends much further into the object - than the surface of the object or the depth of the text body (if not joined). a Pic is below. This is causing a large amount of induced bleed of the text into the body of the object - read i am not talking about the color purging into the object in anyway - these are literal lines of filament extending into the body for no apparent reason i can find.
Settings: Default .20mm Standard @BBL X1C (no supports)
Material PETG (for both colors)
Plate: Textured (or go home
)
Latest firmware for machines and BS.
I have selected each sparse infill type and found no real differences. Changing wall loops, disabling flush options, Other default profiles, do not change the discrepancy.
I have recreated this a few ways:
- By creating an object and extruding text in F3d as a Body and/or Joined, bring the step into BS and painting the text. Then slice.
- by creating a body in F3d, taking the step into BS, creating text on that object in BS, setting depth to .2mm and thickness to 2mm, font 25, Rest Default. Then slice.
- By creating a cube primitive from within BS and creating text on a wall - with same settings above. Then slice.
Hoping someone can tell me where i am going wrong here.
