Title has 70 character limit???. Hope you understood.
I had problems with TPU presets and i want to test different settings. I designed a small test object to test different speed settings. The print will take about 9 minutes each but printing them all at once will add additional time for initialization of the printer, removal and cleaning the bed etc.
I want to clone the object 6 times, set them to be printed one object at at time. Thus i can set process 1 to object 1, process2 to object 2 etc.
With this method it will take only 1 hour otherwise 2 1/2 hour.
Provided your model isn’t too tall you can use the “print by object” option.
This is per plate.
Find the hex/cog on the right of the build plate and select it.
Choose the option for printer order and change it to per object.
Now, send in the clones!
Right click your model and select clone (keyboard shortcuts are available)
Enter how many you want.
Be aware you may not get all of them as the number is based on model size and clearance for the print head to move without impacting earlier prints
Use the auto arrange function to move the models to a safe printing location, sine may have exceeding the bounds of the build plate as there is insufficient space, move those to a second build plate as you will need two prints
Select each one in turn, using the objects panel in the prepare tab, tune your settings for each individual model, not the project as a whole
Slice the build plate and use the layer bar on the right to see if your tweaks are correctly applied to each model.
I know “print by object” and i did that. I want the object1 printed with standard, object 2 with fine etc. But i could not assign different printing profiles for each of them separately even though i set it “print by object” .
The object tab does not have any speed settings per object and global only allows me to assign one process for whole plate.
I checked WIKI as well but could not find anything there either.
Mainly speed and acceleration settings. When i set “The Generic TPU 0.20 Standard” it starts to fail even at the first layer. The profile i borrowed from a printables file prints perfectly but too slow, like; a 1 hour print with generic takes 3 hours to print with this process. Everything is too slow, even slower than i used with my Ender 3 S1 Pro. With default the wall as an example is set to 200, in the custom it is only 30. I checked my Cura settings i was using with this filament and it was ranging between 60-95. Every other speed settings are equally off in both generic and custom process.
The Maximum Volumetric Speed for this filament is around 9mm3/s but i set it to 6 BS. So i want to increase wall speed, infill speed, acceleration etc gradually to find the optimum speed before print starts to fail.
These are the comparison prints of generic standard 0.20mm profile (S20 Left) vs Custom 0.20 mm profile (C20 Right) the custom is almost perfect. But the model print time is 6m 32s vs 29m 54s. The model is 30x30x10mm. the inner box is 20x20x10mm. I could not take photo during printing but the infill of S20 was similarly awful. The infill of C20 was also perfect.
If the model was bigger that cat claw tear would be appearing in many different sections. Now I am trying to find the optimal speeds to reduce the model print time.
