Digital files have been released!

With some delay, but they have released the digital files:

Now we wait for the hardware to ship

The profile leeches sure latched onto those quickly.

And all of them will be removed, since they have no images of the printed model

They are ridiculous. ā€œBinetteā€ has no content of his own on MW but puts BS profiles on the official Cyberbrick models and uses Cyberbrick’s own picture.

I don’t understand what either of you are talking about i.e ā€œleechesā€, ā€œBinetteā€, ā€œno imagesā€ ???

It seems like those profiles have already been removed. Shortly after release there was a print profile that used the same picture as the official profile (so they did not include a picture of the print they did themselves). It also barely changed any settings, they just want to get good ratings and points.

Thanks for the reply. (some people’s kids)…

Sorry, looking back at my post it was confusing lol. We call the people who just re-upload other people’s print profiles (or just change something small like 5% less infill) as ā€œprofile leechesā€ or ā€œpoint leechesā€. ā€œBinetteā€ was the account name that did that to the official CyberBrick posting. Like Simtom said they have already been removed but now there are more from different people. Watch, when all is said and done there will be whatever the maximum number of print profiles the site allows on all those models.

I naively expected some amount of print ā€˜advice’ or modified settings with these print files, such as recommended layer heights, number of wall loops, support settings, etc.

Seems all of the files rely on default settings. Are those appropriate or are we all on our own to figure out optimum settings?

I printed the forklift model using the included settings and it came out perfect, so I don’t think you should have to tweak anything yourself.

Ok, thanks. I loaded most of the 3MF files into BS and none of them modified the defaults so was concerned about printing them.

Creator models are starting to release and can be found on the same cyberbrick compatible models collection.

So far have seen
Water turret
Willys jeep
Mars rover
Dodge bot
Rc go kart
And a remote customisation option

And just so the confusion continues, the Timelapse case is also in the same collection now

Last week we adopted a ferocious, but cute kitten so now I’m wondering if someone can make a mouse-like toy that we can control using the remote control :joy:

Use a Red Dot Laser pointer. They’ll chase that around for hours!

Haha yes, we have that as well! Though it was recommended to not use it often as it can make them insecure (since they can never ā€œcatchā€ their prey).

Seems like…

should ā€˜feel’ a little insecure!

I found these only by searching Makeworld for the model names with ā€˜Cyberbrick’ in the search term. I haven’t seen anything but the basic four in the ā€˜collection’ page. Am I missing something?

Interesting, they where added yesterday and I can see them in both app and on website
