I am printing a model with a solid base plate and thin walls moving upwards. The model was created in Fusion 360. The model body is uniform in OD in fusion and the Bambu workspace. when printed, the portion of the print with the base plate prints smaller than the dimension of the walls. i have tried importing the model to Bambu as different file types (3MF, Step, STL, ETC) to see if that would make the difference, but i have had no success. Has anyone had this issue? or is there a remedy? Pictures attached.
This is a very common problem experienced by users on the forum. There are lots and lots of posts about it. The issue is that the top layer of the bottom of your container contains a lot of plastic which shrinks (because that layer takes a long time to print and the layer cools) which pulls the sides in. When the side of the container is printed they print where the outside wall should be. This is what produces the visual step.
Ways to mitigate this issue are to use less wall loops (to decouple the inside top layer from the outer wall) and/or use a larger filet between the inside wall and the bottom of container.
