I had someone asking me for a file in the comments of a model’s post. I attempted to send that person a direct message with the file attached. The Messaging system would not allow me to attach the file. It did however allow me to send them a message in which I simply asked them to respond to me so I could send them the file. I am not sure that will work or not but wondering if this is some limitation to Direct Messages or is the messaging system operating incorrectly? I seem to be having this issue more than once.
Unless they changed it up, I’ve sent users customized 3mf files through the MakerWorld message system over on the models side. I haven’t sent files through direct message here.
They may need to have sent you a message before you can attach a file in reply. Won’t swear to that though. There are anti-harassment measures in there for sure with limits on how many messages you can send before they have to respond in order to enable more.
I think you will be able to send the file after they reply to your message.
