When connected through WiFi, is it possible to directly access the onboard SD card from Bambu Studio or Bambu Studio Softfever to copy or delete the Timelapse or other videos or other files stored on the card? Is that possible using Bambu Studio Softfever? Is there a better place than this forum to ask for help with Bambu Studio Softfever? Thanks.
Yes, you can access the timelapses and videos on the card. In the Device tab, click Media in the left column. Here you can download or delete videos. I’m less certain about other files.
Yes, thanks, that worked very well. I still haven’t managed to access print files on the card, but I can do most of what I need by using the interface on the printer.
Not in LAN-only mode. Another ridiculous internet connection and Bambu cloud dependency.
You can manage everything on the SD card with a suitable FTP client which is what I use to pull time lapses and clean up the card.
What mean “suitable” ? sFTP? FTP with some SSL?
What are FTP parameters, to connect to Bambu printer? User/pass/authentication metod etc?
My client calls it “FTP using implicit SSL” on port 990. User is bblp and password is the LAN-only access code There are some other threads here search for them.
Thanks. I connected from my Mac using Fetch 5.8
(hostname is IP4 address)
Thanks. That works - I can connect, view main directory:
cache
ipcam
timelapse
somefiles.gcode
but when I try to gen into any dir, or do anything with files - I get “Lost connection. Disconected from server”. When I reconect - i can see this dir (whenI want to get) but when I go up (…) - lost connection again.
This is normal? Or something is wrong?
All I can say is I use FlashFXP, have an X1C in LAN-only mode and have no issues copying files to and from the SD card and deleting them.
Another FREE “suitable” FTP software is “FileZilla.” I’ve used it for years and it works great for the purpose of remotely accessing the SD card on the Carbon X1.
FTP is Ok, but I agree, direct access like I have with Klipper thru other apps, both with Studio and the Handy App would be tremendous, even if I’m deleting old files, or starting prints remotely
Any idea where the video button went? i was able to see and delete timelapses, but i don’t see UI for the list of videos (there are several videos on the SD card). I am not in LAN-only mode.
i cannot see or manage videos on the bambu printer interface either.
Not great on mac where you cannot write to FAT32 formatted drives.
