Hello. I have looked and I’m surprised I’m not seeing that this has already been asked (maybe I missed it). Is there a way to turn off the XY vibration cancelling procedure, or is it forced on because it’s important for that to run before every print?
Thanks!

You can change almost anything by editing the machine start gcode. I run the full start code periodically, but most of the time I run a very stripped down machine start code that does not do nozzle wiping, bed level or resonance calibration.
I am not sure which settings are saved and for how long. Maybe someone else can add that info. I am sure that some are saved until replaced, but some might be reset when the printer is turned off. Depending on the printer model calibration performed can include:
- Plate level calibration
- resonance compensation
- flow calibration
Thank you for the info. I know I could go in and change the Gcode, but I’m assuming that since Bambu set out to make a really fast printer, they would provide the option in their UI to turn off any feature that isn’t totally necessary for every print. That leads me to believe that the design engineers deemed it a necessary operation before each print. I could be totally wrong and I’m sure I could remove that code without really hurting anything. I guess I was just surprised there wasn’t an option already built into the UI.
I do not think that is true. I have raised many issues with them. Their primary goal is for it to always work. That means doing everything possible whether it is necessary or not. Originally there was no choice to turn of bed level calibration at the start of every print. They finally gave in and now there is a checkbox in the print dialog before the print is sent.

I appreciate your insight. I imagine they have to find that perfect balance between speed and reliability. It’s good to know they are receptive to the input of you and other users.
