Ιm not disagreeing with your logic, it just doesnt apply here, because, myself for example, im printing models i printed before on this machine, lots of times in fact as they are products im selling. A month ago, after applying the dual nozzle gcode fix + skip points off, spendid, nothing to worry. a week ago , poof, its as if the gcode doesnt matter anymore, and mind you i didnt update anything, not fw nor studio. But still… i suddenly get ooze again, both on towers and on nozzles/blocker/cleaner/wiper. It oozes everywhere like a h*… teen.
pla, petg, petghf, petgcf just name it, used them all .
Check so no settings have been changed, I have a bug in studio that makes old (really old settings) overwrite the local ones. This happens silently while cloud sync is active.
I never ever saw pla oozing but I now think if you have issues like Satan suggests, about overwritten default settings, it is a good incipit to save a copy of the actual printer profiles as backup… at least those should be safe from updates (slicer next even deleted my saved settings, twice, i learnt to export a backup before updating. quite annoying but a must)
