Wondering if there could end up being a larger version of this eventually… Prusa called it a mini because it was a mini version of the full size prusa. The A1 is not a mini x1.
Mini is short for miniature. Has nothing to do with size and everythjng to do with being a scaled down versikn of something.
Well, for now, only the engineers at BBL can answer this question. Due to the source code of the Bambu Studio, we know that the X1E is most likely to come. Anything else? Pure speculation.
Agree with the reply above. The Bambu mini is meant to kill the other mini, the Prusa mini. Even the price matches. And in the interview between CNC kitchen and Dr Tao, the latter threw several shades at Prusa. They deserve it though.
One of the things that got me thinking was how much capital must have went into producing the a1. Wouldnt make sense to only use the hardware on 1 product. Otherwise, it would have come with an x1 tool head and ams. Either another a1x, a1p, a1s etc. Either that or we will see this hardware across next gen.
Competition is certainly great for the hobby. Personally I tried to go with a Prusa but after several months long delays and finally gave in and purchased a Bambu. Not regretting it a bit. In fact, I think Prusa is just getting complacent. Even their support is shocking right now. In fact, I am considering taking them to a small claims court right now.
