Does anyone else separate their poop by color or material?

I found myself removing my purge bin to avoid mixing different waste materials. One reason was to separate recyclable materials. Also I wanted save certain colors to try molding some PLA waste (like this toy).

I wanted a more convenient solution so I designed these stackable purge bins. The lower primary bin is high volume, and in my case usually full of PLA poop. A smaller secondary bin can cover the larger primary bin when I want to keep the current print job’s poop separate due to it’s material or color.

I didn’t find any other such purge bins on Makerworld. Am I the only one who finds this useful? What are others doing to separate purge materials?

I keep bags of specific color blends that look nice. One of these days i’m gonna do something artistic with them, or melt them back into filament, and until that day… they remain in the bag
