I’m starting to run into a few people who are asking if I can print stuff for them. Generally I’ve just done it as it’s been family so far. But if others start to ask I’d like to at least try to recoup some of the filament costs.
To that end, when the software gives estimates like this:
Does that include purge towers and any purging that goes out the poop chute? I just want a base line to get a decent estimate.
And I guess a follow up request: It would be nice to have a break down of how much of each filament is being used rather than just a “total.”
Um… well… I’m not using that info because I never paid enough attention to that screen to realize that it was all listed there!

I know this thread is aged, but I found it when I was wondering the same thing myself earlier this week and I just completed a large part that switched between four colours, so I weighed the finished part and the refuse and can confirm (what is shown in the slicer view) that the entire filament usage is counted in the total, not just the part.
