I think Kit A is definitely worth it, especially if you use points to purchase the 99% off coupon. As you pointed out in the other thread , it’s cheaper buying it that way. It is just packed with a lot of cool stuff and a lot of not so flashy, but super useful stuff.
For example, I never knew how much I needed dowels until I had them in my hands. I absolutely hate 3D printing hinges. I find printed hinge pins always cause problems. They don’t always print right, can be difficult to insert and occasionally break. With the dowels, I just drop a 2.15mm hole into the model and forget about it. I know the dowel will fit perfectly, stay in place and never break.
This is a quote from the 2nd anniversary thread that I feel is appropriate. My brain works in a very similar way. I knew when I pulled out the MR52 bearings that I was going to make a tiny car and when I started to play around with the electronics I knew what I was going to make.
That package says “1 White 3030-LED Board with SH 1.0 Connector 5V (2PCS)” but it might as well have read “Hey Doc, here’s a couple headlights for ya.”
I feel like every designer would benefit from having a Kit A and if you’re like RandomKhaos and myself, you’re really going to have some fun.
