Download latest firmware

Mistakes happen ;).

No worries.

I updated to the new version and now the device says there’s an update available again (old version). H2D and AMS.

Is it safe to downgrade this way?

We hope bambulab will hear us.
This is already the third firmware that is not available for downloading and I am forced to stay on the very first firmware 01.01.00.00

I switched off LAN only mode in order to get the update and have updated my machines, is this firmware version safe or do I need to switch off LAN mode again to downgrade? :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

If the damage you’re talking about is from my post on the flow Dynamics on the left nozzle crashing the right nozzle. I posted that in the bambu Studio section. As it only happens when you initiate the flow Dynamics calibration through the bambu Studios calibration tab, and not the normal checkbox on the print tab. You would have to click on calibration tab, then select flow dynamics, then select auto. It would not do that weird motion on regular prints with flow Dynamics checked on the print screen. At least for me.

Yes, you can “update” to the previous version, and everything should work as expected.

We apologize for this issue.

We recommend to install the latest current version, just to be on the safe side.

If this version is safe but is just named incorrectly then I’ll just use it until you’ve patched the version number.

ok, I think that’s fine then. I have the current (H2D firmware release history | Bambu Lab Wiki) 01.01.02.04 (20250520) installed.

Was there some other version pushed that’s been rolled back to 01.01.02.04?

EDIT: looks like they’ve changed the text and added " - Currently Unavailable" so I’m running bad firmware :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Yes, but that is still very very bad as it can save a lot of filaments

I saw a message there was a firmware update, finished my print and then went to update the printer, and AMS units and it was gone. Did they yank it that quick? I have 01.01.01.00 …is that the latest?

So you want the users to test if a problem that mechanically destroys parts of the printer still persists??? Will Bambu send spare parts for free if it happens?

I just wanted to make sure people understood it didn’t happen to me during normal flow Dynamics calibration that would start at the beginning of a normal print. And that it only happened going through a dedicated calibration while in Bambu Studio through the calibration tab and trying to do a flow calibration on the left nozzle. Re-looking through my original post I may not have made it very clear.

I absolutely did not want anyone to try it. I posted it in the bamboo Studio section reporting it as a bug in hopes that people would avoid doing it.

I was answering to bambu support, not your post.

I also got an update firmware notification on my H2D Printer and when I tried to install it, it failed and asked me to restart the printer. After restarting the new firmware is gone. Seems like Bambu Lab removed the update since you folks that updated it mentioned it was faulty.

I would like to thank those people that have mentioned it to the Bambu Lab team so that all of us can be calm and wait for a stable firmware update.

Cheers!

I’m kinda bummed they yanked it. Sounds like it was an edge case through Bambu Studio and not much else. I really wanted that AMS 2 fix for drying without rotating. I’m tired of pulling and clipping the filament. The clips fall off anyways during rotation. I can’t tell you how many times I had to break out the tweezers to get the fallen clips out.

Edge case? Your prints only have 3 layers?

What if this happens frequently on your prints or highly potentially cause nozzle clumping, especially with filaments like PETG or PETG-CF?

Calm down, the sky isn’t falling. Your first post says “2 MAJOR FLAWS!! WHAT ARE THEY SMOKING?” omg, omg, lol… sounds like it’s only this:

"As it only happens when you initiate the flow Dynamics calibration through the bambu Studios calibration tab, and not the normal checkbox on the print tab. You would have to click on calibration tab, then select flow dynamics, then select auto. It would not do that weird motion on regular prints with flow Dynamics checked on the print screen."

…and yes that is an edge case, and we don’t know if it Studio related or firmware. Have you tested that Studio scenario on older firmware?

of course we tried it, it’s not on the old firmware.and the whole point of a beta is that we can test it out and report things so it won’t get into normal user’s frustration. we took the risk and reported early, then what they just keep doing it anyway?

The problem is that that flaw damages the printer. ITs not like a print defect.
So the uproar is kinda justified.
