Download latest firmware

I see there’s a new firmware now available for the H2D (01.01.02.04 (20250520)). I’ve looked around but can’t find a link to it anywhere, am I being dumb? Does anyone have a link for it?

I’m just confused at this stage of their decision to releasing this dangerously flawed firmware … What are they smoking? They know there are two major flaws and one might damage your printer… Wtf

I can’t heat up the bed using the bambu Handy app!! It’s something that i do to preheat when I’m not at home, now i won’t be able to do that and it’s infuriating. I tried restarting and reinstalling the app and it doesn’t change anything. I can still turn on the fans and the nozzles but the bed is stuck

I vaguely remember reading something about an issue that could damage the printer, but I can’t seem to find it now.

The firmware release history only lists this as the known issue:

  1. Filament PTFE tube detachment detection is temporarily disabled

So what are two major flaws?

Damage: when you do flow dynamics calibration on your left nozzle, it crashes your right nozzle with the stopper attached onto the wiper brutally.

Print flaw: it dips the nozzle into your previous purge strip at layer 3 and layer 10. Which sometimes would cause filament to stick on the nozzle, causing a blob or clump.

Both are easy to fix bugs but the damage could be huge, yet they still released it to the public, wtf are they smoking?

Could you please let us know what are the issues mentioned?

Our team has fixed a lot of the reported bugs during the Beta period.

Have you tried the new firmware release, and the issue is still occurring?

Where are you seeing this? I’m not seeing it at the URL provided in the initial post: H2D firmware release history | Bambu Lab Wiki

According to this thread, the firmware 01.01.02.04 is faulty:

ok, I was excited to get the new firmware as I’d read some people were seeing some great improvements in key areas but if there’s still major bugs then I’ll hold off. Luckily Bambu hasn’t made the firmware easy to download (I can’t find it anywhere).

Can you confirm that you have updated to the Public version of the firmware and this issue still occurs?

Thanks

It’s entirely possible that those issues were fixed between that version’s beta testing and its release as stable today.

That said - more clarity on this would be nice.

Restarting the printer prompted me to update, you could try that.

I’m in LAN mode so need to download the file from their website somehow.

They are using exactly the same version number, if it’s fixed at least a revision on the version number should be added.

This is surprisingly common for Chinese companies. Some of the software I use at work is made in China by Chinese companies - and they have a bad habit of re-releasing the exact same version numbers/builds/revisions with fixes.

You could download it one day and have a bug, download the exact same version the next day - and the issue was resolved.

It is frustrating - and that may be what is happening here.

If that’s true then at least that’s a relief, otherwise I can imagine the support department being flooded by tickets very soon…

My H2D shows up today [FedEx was supposed to deliver it on Friday, then Saturday, then yesterday … so I’m not holding my breath].

I imagine it’ll want to update to the latest version when I set it up.

I also want to download the firmware and install it offline.
It’s a shame that the most expensive printer is not on the list for downloading firmware.
The policy of bambulab is not clear.

It seems like there was a small mistake in the version configuration, and for now, the new release will not be available. Please accept our apologies for this.

Our team is working to make it available again soon.

Thank you for your understanding.
