Downloads not counted, finally the reply

We need more clarification on this… So is this speaking for outside bambu platform users? I honestly thought from the beginning announcement of MW that it was going to be an in house platform now open like printables and thingaverse.

If they’re simply not counting due to people not logging in then that’s not right because most people wont even have an account or the fact the don’t even have bambu labs printers which A LOT of people don’t…

Very nice indeed…
At least we have a reply from @MakerWorld
Or at least, I was supposing that before but now I have the confirmation.
I totally disagree with the fact of not knowing the number of downloads on a model.
I find it almost disrespectful towards the artists that put hours of their time in modelling.
This was the only platform were we were Uploading models.
Surely from now on they don’t have our exclusivity.
By the way We are Mix&Bits, just to clarify which is our page and the effort we put on designing some of our models.
I started uploading very simple models 2 months ago.
Then I trusted the platform and start actively sculpting with my partner, models that have been featured.
We took pride in our work, not just for the rewards but for the number of downloads in themselves, the people starting following us on instagram, the nice words!
Now I feel disappointed.
It’s not only about the rewards. It’s mostly not knowing if the people like the model enough to download it!
What are your thoughts?

Yes, basically I asket through a ticket to clarify if every download was counted or just the ones of people logged in, as I know for sure that my last model has been downloaded from people that are following our work on instagram.
I have 1 download and several likes ahahah!
Usually you know that the likes are a lot less than the downloads
So I wanted a reply. And i got it

I didn’t understand that. But Let’s say that I would prefer that only the people logged in could download my models if I don’t see the number of downloads from the people not logged

As of this statement they made with their reply We decided to put all our models in private.
We feel that Makerworld is promoting some kind “piracy” against the artists, not notifying every download made.
And this is not about rewards, but about fairness.

I agree & we will do the same tonight because there is no reason to keep them here since the data we can see atm is nonsense.

@makerworld You should start dealing with this issue, its there for 2 weeks and you don’t even respond on your forum.

Please understand that for safety reasons, downloads without logging in cannot be counted towards the point system. However, we acknowledge that as the original creator, you should have access to the actual download data of your models. We are considering adding raw download data to the analytics board, which will include all downloads of your models, regardless of the downloader’s login status. We apologize for any confusion this may have caused and look forward to welcoming your outstanding work back to MakerWorld soon. Thanks for your support.

That make sense but also the other analitycs for logged in accounts is bugged, in particular when a model has different profiles or multiples plates. do you have any explanation about this too? especially after the latest platform updates, the downloads are totally wrong and the analytics, especially for models with multiple print profiles or many print plates, are also totally wrong.

First of all, thank you for replying.
All this changes are shady.
Boosts to hand out difficult to get.
Outsider (not logged people) can download our files without even being registered (and do with them whatever they want).
I see which is the real meaning here (and I can understand that). You were paying too much and many not honest people were using this to their own advantage.
Why don’t you try instead to implement some kind of membership?
There is a big use of the word COMMUNITY that I read here from you and many users and artists through this forum.
I don’t see anything related to the Community in letting the people download without being registered and logged in.
