Just noticed that the number of reported downloads reported under the profile page (overall total downloads) has suddenly been halved.
The download numbers for each model is accurate, though.
Strange…
I noticed this too! Can you please fix this asap MakerWorld?
The same on my account!
Perhaps this is because a successful print counts as two downloads. And this is your real downloads.
Even the: 8400 / 2 = 4200 aka 4.2k and this is only ONE profile!
It reduced to 2.8k aka 2800. Mmmmmh
The original downloads counter contains both downloads and prints.
We now split them to make it clearer.
An OPEN communcation about what will happen would Help before you implement it.
So you removed the Prints of my Made profiles? 8400 prints reduced to Zero?
@Lucyna_Kushinada
“So you removed the Prints of my Made profiles? 8400 prints reduced to Zero?”
No, the prints and downloads are now displayed separately.
Refresh your tab with uploaded profiles. Here is mine, now looks like this. Red are downloads and green successful prints (you have to double it for points calculating, before you had downloads + successful print * 2)
Unfortunately the numbers still don’t add up, when I add them up it’s just 245 but my 3D model had more than 375 downloads.
From my understanding the successful prints count as 2 so it would be 106 + (139x2)=384
Just as @cruse2382 said.
oh ok now I understand, thank you
What I don’t get, I have a few models where the “print” counter is higher than the “download” counter.
Shouldn’t be the print counter <= to the download counter or does this mean a user printed the model more than once?
Agree that it’s not very intuitive seeing fewer downloads than prints. It would be much more clear if a successful print was first counted as a download and then if successful counted as a print. In this way you’re still counting it twice for points but it’s more in line with what’s actually happening.
I understand ist that way: Downloads are opening Printprofile with BambubStudio to print/download to the HDD. Prints are printing a Printprofile over App.
Here are cases when prints may be more than downloads.
- a user may print one model multiple times (only success printing are counted)
- users may print the model through Bambu Handy. In this way, only prints
- for multiple plates model, the prints may be counted for each plate
Wouldn’t that mean that sorting by downloads shows models that generate downloads but not prints? If anything prints should be valued higher than downloads for sorting since a download implies they looked at it but weren’t interested in printing it.
