Is there a way to add text that is flush to the surface of the model (and specify a contrasting color for it)?
Thanks
Dan
I have looked hard for a solution to this and found nothing. My clumsy workaround to get a label onto the lid of a box for instance is to flip the lid 180 so the top is up, create text, I use a thickness of .5mm. When placing text uncheck âsurfaceâ otherwise text wonât appear where I want it. Select âtext_shapeâ under the Objects in the menu then select colour and use the 4 Arrow positioning tool to lower the text into the part. By zooming in it can be placed very close to flush. When done click âAuto orientâ to flip part to print. It would be great if there was a way to snap it to the surface. If anyone knows how to please chime in.
Any news on that? I havenât found any easier way to do it to date, other than importing the text separately from Fusion.
When you edit text, change the âEmbedded Depthâ to some positive number (I use 3 layers X the layer height usually). Change the filament to the color you want then change the text objectâs type to Modifier.
