Dryer triggering nozzle temperature malfunction?

I’ve noticed a lot of posts about the nozzle temperature malfunction issue, but many are still having this problem. For years. No, it’s not the connection, at least from my experience. I just have to wait and resume.
On looking at Device Status, it appears that the software suddenly wants the head to be 90C from its printing target of 230C and this causes the malfunction. It happens just about the time that heated filament from the dryer at 55C might be reaching the head.
This might be a software issue, not adjusting heater as required when a different temperature of filament appears, then demanding it cool to 90C (?), shutting it down and complaining. If this is the case, the best software solution would be to simply pause printing until the filament hits desired target again without having to shut down printing and forcing manual resume.
