Drying filament in X1E

Does anyone have advice/hacks on using the heated chamber as well as the heated bed? I have some bambu PETG-HF to dry out (I unfortunately bought some and it needs drying).
If I use the filament drying utility there’s not an option to use the heated chamber as well and if I set the chamber temp manually while drying , it just resets to zero.
The wiki says this:

Does the X1E enhance the performance of the filament drying function?

Yes, please refer to the X1E Material Drying Guide (to be written) for more information.

I was thinking of pretending to start a print with chamber and heated bed and leaving it on pause for 12 hrs.

Hello,

I was thinking in doing something like that, so I found the " Filament drying cover for X1C/P1S" in Maker World dot com.

Printed with ABS and such… Inside the description are the method used, the necessary configs, etc. Hope it helps.

This is great - thanks!

I’ve printed the Bambu filament drying cover (in PC, ~460grams, 13.5 hours)). I don’t see any benefit over simply using a cardboard filament box with the lid removed.

I just printed one too in PC. “Filament drying cover for X1C/P1S” I guess the possible benefit (or liability) is that it can circulate air by picking up the aux fan. I’m not sure bringing cool air in at the base is beneficial.

I’d guess the holes at the base are to replace the damp air with fresh dry air?
