Dual head, 32 colors and no purge wait

Please make a dual head large scale printer that uses 2 ams hubs. 1 for each head. one parks and purges the next color while the other prints.

That is a worthy suggestion indeed!!!

That honestly sounds like the perfect printer for me. My next one needs to be a large format printer, but I’d also like it to be an IDEX or some other type of multi toolhead unit. Having the ability to also have a dual AMS setup would just be icing on the cake.

I’ve considered the Prusa XL as it technically meets my requirements, but from everything I’ve been reading, it’s a hot mess and doesn’t look like it’ll enclose very easily. If Bambu doesn’t release one in their 2nd generation next year, I’ll probably be looking at something like the Voron Phoenix that was recently announced at SMRFF. I’d much rather Bambu just built my dream printer though.

My perfect printer too. Something like 2 x p1ps rotated 90 degrees so that the fronts face each other - and therefore there is a purge shoot on both the left and right side.

The current metal Y rails from the two printers are joined together to become a single double length X rail.

Maybe the Z axis/build plates are joined together - but I could also see quite a few advantages if they were kept separate - and just kept in sync when doing IDEX printing.

Keeping the Z axis separate for example would allow both ‘p2pp’ to still act as independent printers sometimes.

Also having the ability to have two different Z heights in the same print would help with things like prime tower and ‘flush into’ object height optimisation.

Final icing on the take would be adding the a1 hot swappable nozzle capability - with perhaps the ability for 3 or 4 of them to be held within the printer and be automatically swappable.
