Easiest Hotend Nozzle Swap Method w/ CHT Nozzle

I have upgraded my hotend to the Aliexpress CHT knockoff type and am very happy with the admittedly minor upgrade in speed it provides.

I find myself switching between the 0.4mm and 0.6mm nozzles quite frequently. I’m finding it quicker to just exchange the nozzle vs the entire hot end assembly and wondering if there are advantages or disadvantages to either method?

Also wondering if there are any specific tools for this job that make it easier/safer.

Could someone also confirm that the nozzles are 4mm wrench size and the heat block is 7mm? At work now and can’t measure until I get home.

I installed that hot end but just could not get it to print overall as good as the stock hot end.

If you get a good profile that matches the quality of the BL hot end let me know.

good to know as I liked the idea of convenience of the other, but I really wondered rather it would be as high of quality or not on printing.

I used Orca Slicer with the stock hot end and dialed in all my PETG filaments. The first test prints with the Aliexpress nozzle came out perfect with the same settings so I only ran another pressure advance and max volumetric speed tests. I was able to bump up Max Volume from 17mm³ to 21mm³ and slight adjustments to PA.

I’ve been experimenting with the BBL PLA-CF filament that came with the printer and am getting stunningly good results. Just using their built in profiles and haven’t bothered with calibration as it’s perfect. I use a textured PEI plate and turn off the Bambu Flow Calibration and enable Pressure Advance in the filament profile.
