Easy Cold Pull

The extruder has enough grip and torque to do a cold pull all by itself.

With PLA just extrude at 225, then cool to 80 and retract “10” (this is from the screen).

Then turn the device off and wait a minute for the filament to harden more and pull the filament out from the entry point on the back of the printer.

I actually think if you have an AMS this could be completely automated with a prompt to cut the tip off the filament at the end.

I tried this, and the printer won’t let me - it insists that I heat the nozzle to at least 170, and makes me wait. If I try to retract prior, it just pops up a warning. Cold-pulling manually, I guess! Was this a software update?

In 2 years? Very probably.
