It’s true that slicer software can be frustrating, and many here have shared your pain. However, this forum is made up of fellow community enthusiasts who’ve all had to go through the same learning curve. We’re generally happy to support one another, but meaningful help comes when someone is not only asking for assistance but is also willing to accept it and put in the effort to improve.
If you’re looking for guidance rather than just venting, here’s how to maximize the community’s support:
Clearly explain what you’re trying to accomplish.
Detail what steps you’ve already tried.
Describe the results and how they fell short of your expectations.
Include screenshots or specific examples to clarify where you’re stuck.
We understand the frustration, but complaining without providing details or showing effort won’t get much traction. If you engage constructively, though, you’ll find a wealth of knowledge and support here. Keep in mind, Bambu might see these posts occasionally, but direct help from them is rare.
On the subject of the text feature. It actually works quite well once you understand how to use it and more importantly, what it can and cannot do. I’d be glad to offer help but at the moment, based on your post, I can’t visualize where you’re stuck. So if you still want help, please provide details.
This isn’t normal. I use the text feature in Bambu Studio a fair amount and can’t say I’ve ever had any issues like this. All movements are smooth and I can position text exactly where I want it. I use Bambu studio on both a high end CAD system and a 10 year old laptop (both running Win10).
Just in case tell us your computer specs.
Skipping/ jumping text might be a result of low latency/ low ram/ processing power.
Multi tasking on computer can also cause this
@imprezzakc did you ever get the text issue resolved? I’m having the same issue. Place text and it just stays flat on the plate. Try to move it and it “JUMPS” back down. I can move it around on the X and Y but not Z.
This is because you put the text on the build plate, delete it then click on the model you want text on the select the text tool. If your model is not selected when you select the text tool the text will be put on the build plate and not on the model.
