Ender 3 Neo usable with Studio?

I got a friend who got himself a free Ender 3 Neo, but he doesnt have the cable to connect to his pc, so its exported stl for him.
Is it possible to use Bambu Studio with that printer?

There are a bunch of Ender 3 variations available in the selection of printers, but not the ‘Neo’ specifically.

Would that be a problem if he were to just select something like the Ender 3 ‘v2’?

As I understand it, the Creality Ender-3 V2 is a suitable equivalent.

The Creality range often includes a start and end GCODE snippet that should be added to any slicer. This should be reviewed.

Remember, Bambu Studio does not talk directly to the printer, your friend will need to slice to a GCODE file and then transfer the file manually.

I suggest that your friend use OrcaSlicer instead of Studio. OrcaSlicer does have an Ender-3 Neo profile and is similar enough to Studio that you can still use your Studio experience to provide technical assistance. For a non-Bambu user, Studio has no advantages over OrcaSlicer, and the current 2.0.2 version seems to be pretty buggy - not something a new user wants to deal with.

We were recently gifted an Ender-3 V2 (in pieces) to pass along to our grandson. I have it together and pretty well tuned now. It will be given to him very soon, with the OrcaSlicer installation file on the microSD card.

Interesting, good point I hadnt considered Orca since I have only used Studio so far. I’ll check it out, and most likely tell him to use that instead so that I can help him get into it.
Thanks!
