I keep getting this error and also 07FE-8003 that I can’y pin down a cause on the left nozzle.
I checked and cleaned the AMS 2 Pro buffer and I can get filament to the extruder head, but it errors out saying to retract the filament. Extracting the filament actually works, but the error remains.
Next, I removed the left nozzle’s PTFE tube, set the nozzle temperature to 220°C and placed PLA filament into the extruder. From the touch screen I can push filament through the nozzle and see filament exiting the nozzle. I can also extract the filament from the touchscreen.
However, when I try to performa cold-pull from the Cold-Pull Maintenance page, I get a warning to extract the filament, even though there is no filament in the extruder anymore.
It’s like the sensor is erroneously stating that there is filament where none appears to be. Any ideas as to what to try next?
When you look at the filament sensor on the screen, is it showing green or white? If it is showing green then the sensor thinks there is filament. If there is no filament there then the sensor if likely faulty.
I assumed the filament sensor also displayed on the printer screen but it seems it can only be viewed via Studio.
Since you can manually extrude filament, then I assume the sensor is bad and needs to be replaced. Bambu support will send you a new one if you open a ticket. Unfortunately, replacement is a pain. Tons of small screws to remove and delicate clips to fiddle with.
